Jeffrey R. Stamper

Jeffrey R. Stamper (Jeff), age 56, of Liberty Township, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born September 4, 1959 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to Donald R. and Nina D. (nee Day) Stamper.

A 1977 graduate of Lakota High School, Jeff was a tremendous athlete. He earned 8 Varsity Letters in football, basketball and baseball. Always in a position of team leadership, Jeff earned Mid-Miami All-League Honors in 3 sports over 5 seasons. He received this twice for baseball as pitcher, twice in basketball as point guard and once in football as quarterback. He still holds records today. In 2003, Jeff was inducted into the Lakota High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Jeff went on to play college baseball at Roane State College and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Management from Wilmington College.

Jeff's core skills as a team leader carried into his 36 year professional career with GE Aviation, Evendale, Ohio. He began his career in the GE Machinist Apprentice Program graduating in 1983. In 1984, Jeff accepted his first salaried position as a Production Control Specialist. Jeff’s technical experience included key roles in Rotating Parts, Maintenance, & EMO as a Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager. His final role as Senior Manufacturing Projects Leader enabled Jeff the unique opportunity to contribute his 3 decades of manufacturing expertise to the success of various manufacturing sources within the greater GE Aviation Supply Chain.

Jeff leaves behind: his wife, Jennifer A. (nee Leslie) Stamper; parents, Donald and Nina Stamper; children, Heather Stamper and Tyler Stamper; sister, Kim Stamper; step-children, Jacob Keith, Grace Keith, Noah Keith, Elliott Keith and Hope Keith; nieces and nephew, Brittney Adleta, Brandon Adleta and Morgan Adleta; great-nephew, Caysen Goodall; and many other loving family members, collegues and friends.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Spring Hill Cemetery, Princeton Road (West of Yankee Road), Liberty Township, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jeff be directed to Jeff Stamper Memorial Fund.  Donations can be made at any Fifth Third Bank.
