Mary E. Knight

Mary E. Knight (nee Lemley), age 94, resident of Mason, Ohio for 56 years, recently of Monroe, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at West Chester Hospital.  She was born Tuesday, April 11, 1922 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to Perry E. Lemley and Ida (nee Yost) Lemley.

Mary enjoyed working in her yard growing beautiful flowers that were admired by family, friends and neighbors.  She canned and froze many of her vegetables allowing them to be enjoyed year round.  Mary had quite the eye when it came to antiques and other collectible items that others would overlook, purchasing them, cleaning them up, and then selling them for a profit.  Family was by far the most important thing to Mary.  She dedicated her life to raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by: her parents, Perry and Ida Lemley; husband, Glenn L. Knight, Sr.; son, James Knight; grandson, Neil Favaron; brothers, Charles Lemley, Ed Lemley and Bob Lemley; sisters, Betty Cole, Virginia Ireland, Dorothy Byers, Genevieve Morrow and Nellie Rush; and grandson-in-law, Jeffery Friedman.

Mary is survived by: children, Glenn (Nancy) Knight, Marcia (Charles) Simons, Linda (John) Favaron, Myra (G. Richard) Harter and Cindy (Tim) Bennett; sisters, Arnetta McClelland and Geraldine Phillips; grandchildren, Glenn (Jenni) Knight, Joy (Alex) Polykarpov, Sara (Ian) Melzer, Jennifer (Faisal) Syed, Christine (Henry) Bales, Sherri (Greg) Peak, John (Susanne) Favaron, Stacey (George) Grace, Chad (Meredith) Dwire, Thom (Lucia) Ziegenhardt, Angie Gormas, Christy (Gene) Mugler, Nicole (Joe) Brown, and Jeremiah Knight; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mary be directed to an Animal Rescue organization of your choice.
