Donald A. Venseret

Donald A. Venseret, age 82, of Mason, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 12, 2016. He was born Monday, January 22, 1934 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Henry and Emma (nee Geritz) Venseret.  Don retired from US Steel as a Metallurgical Engineer.

In June, 1958, Don married his sweetheart, Bette Rippey.  Together, they enjoyed traveling the world, but Don's favorite place to vacation every year was Maine.  Through his 82 years, Don found pleasure in golfing, playing bridge and other card games, reading and working word puzzles.  Don's true pride and joy was his family.  Spending time with his wife, daughter, granddaughters and great-grandson was the light of his life.  He was a long-time member of Sycamore Presbyterian Church.

Don was preceded in death by: his parents, Henry and Emma Venseret; and his daughter, Rachel A. Venseret.

Don is survived by: his loving wife of 58 years, Bette Venseret; granddaughters, Taylor (Kyle) Verdin and Madilyn Trulock; sister, Lois (David) Post; great-grandson, Oliver Verdin; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249.  A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 PM with Dr. Larry Kent officiating.

The family requests donations made in memory of Donald be directed to the Mason Christian Village Benevolent Fund, 411 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
