Amanda Rae (Wickens) Rucker , born October 28, 1985, entered into the presence of Almighty God on June 2, 2016, at the age of 30.
She grew up in the Maineville area, attended Montgomery Community Church, and enjoyed summer camps. Amanda went to Kings Schools and Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, graduating from Princeton High School. She participated in short-term mission trips to Mexico & Nicaragua. Amanda then attended Butler Tech, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. Following a back injury she worked in customer service at SST Bearing Corporation and Sun Chemicals, and more recently in accounts payable at Ripple Junction in West Chester. Amanda was married in 2007 to Gordon Aaron Rucker.
Amanda is survived by her daughter Emma Irene Wickens, her father Robert Wickens of Lorain, Ohio, her half-sisters Kathleen Cowart of Cincinnati, Ohio and Laura Wickens of Brooklyn, New York, her half-brothers Brad McCollum of Milford, Ohio and John McCollum of Portland, Oregon, and her aunts Deborah Martin of Elyria, Ohio and Beth Freeman of Atlanta, Georgia.. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice (nee Kimbrough) Wickens in 2010.
A Memorial Service will be held June 15th at 12:00 noon at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road in Mason, Ohio, preceded by a visitation hour at 11:00 am. Pastor Ben Fowlkes of Church of the Open Door in Elyria, Ohio will officiate. Interment will be next to her mother at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio.
