Mary Thomas Guenther, née Taaffe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family May 23, 2016. She was a life long resident of Cincinnati. Beloved wife of the late James H. Thomas and the late Charles E. Guenther. Devoted mother of William Thomas (Amy), Mary Jane Stuart (David), and Karen Thomas Griffith (Fred).
Loving grandmother of Capt. James Thomas (Chelsea), William Heske, 1st Lt. William Thomas, Mary Heske, Katherine Stuart, Katherine Thomas, Mason Stuart.
Loving sister of Dr. James Taaffe and the late Steven Taaffe. She was a founding member and President of Kenwood Women's Club. She was a very successful retail buyer for the Designer Salon and Gidding-Jennings. She retired in 2014 to The Seasons in Kenwood where she enjoyed many friendships and activities. She was a world traveler and loved to entertain friends. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Kenwood Country Club, Hyde Park Country Club and Western Hills Country Club.
Visitation Friday, May 27, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 12:00 PM at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, 5125 Drake Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45243.
