Fran Greene

On March 20, 2016, God gained an angel. Fran Greene (née Trail), age 54, of Mason, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was born Friday, November 10, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Walter and Phyllis (née  Welsh) Trail. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf and loved to garden both in her flower bed at home and in her vegetable garden at the Mason Community Garden. But she was most passionate about her family. She was the most amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt that anyone could ask for. She will live on through the life lessons of love, faith, family and hard work that she taught to her family and community through her wise words and examples.

Fran earned her Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Dayton in 1984 and worked for many years as an industrial engineer with Owens Corning, the US Postal Service and Rockwell International where she met her future husband Pete. When Wes and PJ reached school age, Fran became a substitute teacher for Mason City Schools and used that opportunity to instill her values in all of the students that were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her family members remember many times when they were out in the community with Fran, and a child approached her with a smile to say hello to "Mrs. Greene". After her sons moved on to college she worked full time as an Account Coordinator at Cintas.

Fran has been reunited in Heaven with her father, Walter Trail, and her father-in-law William Greene.

Fran is survived by: loving husband, Pete Greene; sons, Wes and P.J. Greene; mother, Phyllis Trail; siblings, Phyllis and Jim Stehle, Walt and Claudia Trail, Jeannine and Brett Schoenecker, and Michele and Todd Washing; mother-in-law, Jean Greene; sisters-in-law, Linda and Mike Brattoli, Margaret and Vince Petrella and Nancy and Tim Perry; and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2016 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A second visitation will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time of the Prayer Service at 12:00 PM also at Mueller Funeral Home. For those who wish to attend a communion service, a Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Susanna Parish, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
