Carl L. Deutsch , 85, died March 8, 2016. Devoted husband of Audrey (nee Amberger) for 62 years, beloved father of Carol (Glenn) Galler, Barbara (Charlie) Weber, Carl (Judy), James (Peggy) Deutsch and Thomas (Michelle) Deutsch, loving grandfather of Rebecca Galler, Alex Galler, Christina (Greg) Woertz, Nick (Tabby) Weber, Ben (Somer) Weber, Katie Deutsch, Sarah Deutsch, Elizabeth Deutsch, Anna Deutsch, Emma Deutsch, Maria Deutsch, Anna Clare Deutsch, Grace Deutsch, and Joe Deutsch; and great-grandfather of Chloe, Maya, and Ben Woertz, dear brother of Joann (Bob) Pierce and the late Grace Mitchell, Joseph (Margaret) Deutsch, Rosemary Huesing, Helen Krieger, Bob Deutsch, and survived by in-laws Bill Mitchell, Bill Huesing, Wilfred Krieger and Rita Deutsch. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A Korean War Marine veteran of the Chosin Reservoir campaign and retired firefighter for the city of St. Bernard, Carl enriched and brought joy to the lives of his family and numerous friends with his quick wit, handiwork, art and music.
Visitation at St.Clement Catholic Church, 4536 Vine St, Cincinnati 45217 on Saturday, March 12 from 9 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 AM. Reception immediately following Mass at St. Bernard Municipal Building, 120 Washington Avenue, St. Bernard, OH 45217 (Main Level, enter on the Washington Avenue side).
