Jacob E. Marek

Jacob E. Marek , age 15, of Mason, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at his residence.  He was born Tuesday, December 5, 2000 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Regina (nee Walick) Marek.

As a Freshman at Bishop Fenwick High School, Jacob played golf and truly enjoyed all sports, even if it was playing soccer in the backyard.  He played the trumpet as part of the Orchestra at School.  A collector, he had quite an assortment of baseball cards and bobbleheads. Jacob also enjoyed fishing with family members and friends.  A Boy Scout, Jacob was a Star ready to achieve the Rank of Life with Troop 817.  He served as an usher for St. Margaret of York.

Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Walick and his cousin Tommy Dwyer.

Jacob is survived by: his parents, Ed and Gina Marek; his brother, Andrew Marek; paternal grandparents, Dave and Lou Ann (nee Merholz) Marek; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth (nee Gavron) Walick; paternal aunts and uncles, Lorraine (Dennis) Dwyer, Steve (Lisa) Marek, Jim Marek, Mary (Eric) Nutter, Pam (Greg) Romer, Rita Marek, Dave (Julie) Marek, Patrick Marek and Rick (Jessica) Marek; maternal aunts and uncles, Steve (Katie) Walick, Don (Dee) Walick, Ed (Sue) Walick, Bob (Lisa) Walick, Mary (Randy) Crawford, Monica (Jeff) Troy and Jay (Nikki) Walick; many other loving family members and friends; and his cat, Scratchy.

There will be a "Memory Box" at St. Margaret of York Church allowing you the opportunity to record a memorable time with Jacob.  This will allow the family to cherish the many memories.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at St. Margaret of York Catholic Church, 9499 Columbia Road, Loveland, Ohio 45140.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Margaret of York.  Interment will follow the Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
