Mike Marston

Mike "Fuzzy" Marston, age 64, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 13 , 2016 at Hospice of Hamilton.  Mike was born Sunday, February 25 , 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles and Loretta B. (nee Nickley) Marston.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Mike was an avid fan of the Bearcats.  As a Manufacturer’s Rep in the Sign Industry, he held the prestigious title of "Professional Bullshitter".  He often joked with his family and friends that he was leaving his mark all over the world.  It was just after Fuzzy tried out for the Yankees that his kidney disease was discovered and his longtime dream of playing professional baseball came to a halt.  A new passion of coaching evolved and Mike was affectionately known by many over the years as "Coach Mike".  Mike developed a love for golf while traveling, often meeting clients at driving ranges or on the course.  He had a natural gift for sports and even when he was hobbling around or wearing a brace he would shoot better than most.  Mike had an amazing sense of humor and loved to live life to the fullest.  This could be attributed to his second chance at life when he received a kidney transplant.  What doctors assumed would give Mike an additional 7 - 10 years of life ended up giving him over 30 years allowing him the opportunity to watch his children grow up and start families of their own.

Mike is survived by: his loving wife of 39 years, Pam (nee Gregory) Marston; devoted children, Ryan (wife, Laurie) Marston and Erica (husband, Michael) Byrnes; grandchild, Nolan Ryan Marston with another grandchild on the way; siblings, Richard, Anthony, Linda, Marquetta and Patrick; many other family members and friends including two best friends, Steve "Ozzie" Reilman and Michael Martin.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place Thursday, February 18 , 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
