Rev. William E. Burley

Rev. William E. “Bill” Burley, 86, beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Stump) Burley for 62 years; devoted father of Bruce (Deborah) Burley, Keith (Kathryn) Burley, Brian (Jane) Burley and Marcia (Barry) Miller; loving grandfather of Hannah & Benjamin Burley, Meghan (Justin) Durbin, Lauren & Bethany Burley and Jacob Miller; dear brother of James, John and David Burley, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016.

Bill was also faithful servant of the Lord having served as a pastor of Methodist churches in Ohio during his over 40 years of active ministry.  The churches served were Wesley Chapel-Goodale Chapel (Cols) 1951; East Fultonham-White Cottage 1952; Ansonia-Dawn 1954; Monroe-Excello (Dayton) 1957; Monroe (Dayton) 1959; Bethel (Cols) 1964; Medway 1969; Westwood (C) 1975; Church of the Good Shepherd (CN) 1979; Hyde Park Bethlehem (C) 1982 - 1993, Milford First (C).  He also lead various lab schools and served on the Board of Directors of the West Ohio United Methodist Credit Union for over 25 years.

Bill enjoyed camping and travel with family and friends.  He and Marilyn also enjoyed community concerts and band performances especially John Phillip Sousa music.
