Frances Anna Brastauskas

Frances Anna Brastauskas (nee Valuckas), 88, beloved wife of the late Peter Michael Brastauskas, devoted mother of Paul M. (Sonja), James P. (Brenda) and David J. (Gustavo) Brastauskas, loving grandmother of Ian M. and Haley C., dear sister of Adele Biedrycki and the her late brothers  Konstantos, Pete, Barney and Stanley passed away November 2, 2015.

Frances was a dedicated nurse most of her life, graduating from Saint Francis School of Nursing, Hartford Ct., in  1949.  She worked as a nurse in the industrial, private school, and elderly care settings until she retired. After her husband Peter passed away in 1999, she relocated to Mason Ohio to be closer to her family and grandchildren.  When it came to plants, Frances had a "green thumb", she was talented at sewing, enjoyed bowling and loved being with family.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 18, 2015 at 9:00 AM at St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church, 574 Main Street, Watertown, CT 06795.  The burial of her ashes will follow at St James Cemetery in Naugatuck Connecticut. Floral arrangements should be sent to O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT 06779. Memorials should be directed to Grace Hospice Cincinnati who provided loving care and support in her final months of life.
