US ARMY VETERAN AUGUSTINE, EUGENE J. Age 87, of West Chester, Ohio passed away on Sept 15th at his home under the care of Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born on August 25, 1928, the son of the late Harry J and Marie (Schweizer) Augustine. He graduated from St Xavier High School (Cincinnati) and attended Xavier University for two years. Mr. Augustine is survived by his wife, Doris (Rowland) Augustine; children Carole Augustine; Dr. James (Linda) Augustine; Mary Ellen Augustine Gula; John (Wendy) Augustine. Ten grandchildren: Jill, Josh, Jenna, Katelyn, Andrew Augustine; Jordan (Jessica) Gula; Courtney Gula; Elizabeth (Robert) Gula Montgomery; J (Carrie) Brady, and Jenn (Brent) Spicer. Eight great-grandchildren: Reagan, Mackenzie, Jackson, Maddison, Brady, Ben, Isaac, Ethan. Brother-in-law Scott (Betty) Heim. Eugene is also survived by Doris's children: Barbara (Bob) Slater; Marcia (Terry) Conrad; Ron (Kathy) Rowland; Tom (Debra) Rowland. Eight grandchildren: Jamie (Liz Letak) Slater; Jason (BJ) Conrad; Justin (Randi Lynn) Conrad; Andrew (Caroline) Rowland; Jennifer (Mike) Appelfeller; Megan (Aaron) Seymour; Evan and Erin Rowland. Twelve great-grandchildren: Cailyn, Camryn, Carlie, Maddie, Ava Ann, Iris, Nicolas, Aaron, Claire, Beth, Colton, and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Nancy (O'Connor) Augustine, and sisters Ethel (Joe) Hoff, Colletta (Gene) Rogers, and Lois Heim. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept 18 from 9:00 AM to 10:45AM at the Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH 45040. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5720 Hamilton-Mason Rd, Liberty Twp, OH 45011 at 11:00AM. A short reception will be held at the church after Mass. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
