Noel Joseph Griffin, age 83, of Cincinnati, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015. He was born Friday, December 25, 1931 in Kewanee, Illinois to Harold and Mildred (nee Cummings) Griffin. As a young man, Noel earned his Eagle Scout. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Noel held a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and had many inventions. Camping and walking were some of his favorite things to do as it brought him close to nature. Noel also enjoyed watching movies, mostly Sci-Fi and Westerns. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Harold and Mildred Griffin; wife, Laurel F. (nee Keelen) Griffin; and brother, David Griffin. Noel is survived by: his children, Greg Griffin and Laurie (Jeff Horsley) Griffin; grandchildren, Paul Griffin, Danny Griffin and Joe Griffin; brothers, Paul Griffin and Mark Griffin; and many other loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
