Herb Meyer, age 85, of Mason, Ohio passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. He was born Thursday, February 27, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to German immigrants, William and Frieda (nee Mueller) Meyer. Herb was a 1949 graduate of Withrow High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University. His career path started with Lockwood Manufacturing Company and he worked his way up to Marketing Manager. Later in his career he went to work for AR Industries where he retired as Manager of Human Resources. Herb enjoyed golf and was also active with Real Estate. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Frieda Meyer. Herb is survived by: his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn (nee Blum) Meyer; sons, Jim (wife, Mary Helen) Meyer of Broken Arrow, OK and Steve (wife, Barb) Meyer of Mason, OH; sister, Carolyn Meyer; grandchildren, Marisa (husband, Andrew) Clifton of Cleveland, OH and Jared (wife, Katie) Meyer of Winton-Salem, NC; great-grandchildren, Asher & Eli Clifton and Thatcher Meyer; and other loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held at the graveside on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 12:30 pm at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. A graveside service will immediately follow at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Herb's memory to the charity of your choice.
