Mary Catherine (Edwards) Weisenberger, 89, died Tuesday, August 18, at Hawthorn Glen, near Middletown, Ohio, where she had lived since 2013. Born in Elmwood Place, Ohio, to Henry Albert Edwards and Ellen "Nell" (O'Halloran) Edwards, she was a 1944 graduate of Norwalk High School. Mary lived most of her life in Mansfield, Ohio, where she was a member of St. Peter's parish, and later, Resurrection parish in Lexington, Ohio. She finished her working career when she retired from K-Mart at age 75. Surviving are two daughters, Ann (husband, Jack) Meiring, near Union City, Indiana, and Kathleen (husband, Paul) Barron of Fairfield Twp. Ohio and one son Leon (wife, Vickie) Weisenberger of Westerville, Ohio; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons; and a sister-in-law, Esther Edwards of Norwalk, Ohio. Preceeding her in death was a daughter, Nancy Thorne of Lexington, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norwalk, Ohio on Friday, August 21st at 12 noon, with visitation at the church prior to Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
