August W. Kurtz, age 77, of West Chester, Ohio passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. August was born Thursday, November 25, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to August F. and Anna (nee Cosgrove) Kurtz. August was proud to be a Marine. He was a Plumber with Union Local 392 where he also held several offices earning many of his colleagues respect for his hard work and dedication. August was an avid sports fan coaching PYO baseball and soccer for his children and grandchildren. August was preceded in death by his parents, August F. and Anna Kurtz. He is survived by: his loving wife of 50 years, Suzanne (nee Morris) Kurtz; children, Deborah Kurtz-Eby, Augie (Jessica) Kurtz, Patrick (Lisa) Kurtz and Julie (Keith) Butler; grandchildren, Celia Scott, Christopher Eby, Catherine Eby, Tabitha Kurtz, August Kurtz, Isaac Kurtz, Kimberly Kurtz, Haley Kurtz, Hannah Kurtz, Zach Butler, Jake Butler, Braedon Butler and Ariana Butler; great-grandchildren, Colton Lawhead and Harley Lawhead; special cousin, Carol Lee Morgan; and many other loving family members, friends and co-workers. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015, 9:30 am - 11:30 am at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at 12:30 pm at Immaculate Conception, 2310 Robertson Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45212. Interment will be at West Chester Cemetery.
