Eric J. Goettsch, age 69, of Mason, Ohio passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 following his battle with cancer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, November 10, 1945 to the late Carl O. Goettsch and Edit (nee Herklotz) Goettsch. Eric held a masters degree in both history and geography. He was a very successfull business man as President of Goettsch International, Inc., a source for machinery and services for the corrugated container and recycling industries since 1950. Goettsch International, Inc. headquarters is based in Cincinnati, OH with satellite offices in Brazil, Panama, Mexico, South Africa and Singapore. Eric was instrumental in expanding the world class parts and service departments along with opening various new markets such as Australia and New Zealand. The reputation of Goettsch International for integrity and service are known and respected throughout the industry. Executive management has been transferred to his sons, Michael and Andrew Goettsch. Eric is survived by: his loving wife, Marilyn (nee Divo) Goettsch; children, Mike (wife, Pilar) Goettsch, Sandy Goettsch and Andy (wife, Lisa) Goettsch; grandchildren, Alex & Julianna Goettsch and Emma Goettsch; brother, Charley (wife, Dorothy) Goettsch; and many other loving family members, friends and employees.
