Joseph Allan Hlebak, 64, died on the morning of May 29, 2015 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 7th, 1951 to Joseph Allan Hlebak Sr. and Helen Plank Hlebak of Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Mayfield Heights High School in 1969, served in the US Army and attended University of Cincinnati. Joseph is survived by his loving wife Connie Smith Hlebak of Monroe, Ohio; siblings Karen Bartell (Jim), Frank Hlebak (Julie), Larry Hlebak (Kara), Lisa Janusik (Joe); and his adoring children Amanda Jo Miller, Joshua Joseph and Matthew Joseph Hlebak. Joseph touched the lives of many with his intellect, beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. Joseph was always a gentleman. He was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio University. Some of his proudest moments were watching his sons graduate with engineering degrees from OU. He cherished time with his children and grandchildren; Alyssa and Morgan Miller. Being called Papa brought a smile to his face when nothing else could. Joseph was also an adoring uncle to Joe, Corey, Austin, A.J., Jessica, Theresa, Cindy, Taylor, Alexis, Gabrielle, Amelia, Madison, Grayson and Everett. He loved the simple things in life: spending time with friends and family, making burgers on the grill, watching his beloved Browns on Sundays and playing poker. Thank you to all of the friends, coworkers at LSI Industries, neighbors and family who cared for Joseph these last few months. We'd especially like to thank the doctors, nurses and Hospice of Southwest Ohio who provided care and support. Lastly, we want to thank all those who rushed to his side when he needed you.
