Joshua Matthew Parris, 31, died on the morning of May 23, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 28th, 1983 to Angela Parris and Mark Parris. He is survived by his sisters, Jaime, Nicole, Lauren, Ava and Brianne. He was a devoted father to his beautiful daughter Kiara. Josh touched the lives of many with his beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. He was shy but he loved making the people close to him laugh. Josh was warm and he loved fiercely. He was always kind unless someone was unkind to a person he loved. He was passionate about the women in his life. He was raised by his single mom and 3 sisters. His mom was his safe place. His sisters gave him courage and strength when he had none. His daughter, Kiara was his everything to him and he loved her completely. She could bring a smile to his face and a sparkle to his eye when nothing else could. He loved the simple things in life: spending time with friends and family, mountain dew, ice-cream, History Channel, and of course his video games. Thank you to all of the people who cared for Josh in these last few months. The doctors and nurses went over and beyond to make sure Josh was as comfortable as he could be. Thank you to all of his friends that rushed to his side when he needed you. Josh had an amazing group of friends. You not only helped encourage Josh, but you helped to strengthen his family as well. Above all else, Josh would want you to know that even though he made mistakes he knew his God, Jehovah. His favorite scripture was Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Josh held this hope close to his heart, as well as his family and friends. Josh's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and we await the fulfillment of Isaiah 25:8 "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces".
