Mary Kay Wong (Moore) passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 surrounded and comforted by her husband and children. Mary Kay was 63 years old. Mary Kay was born July 30, 1951 in Port Huron, Michigan to Doris (Bernhard) Moore and Paul Moore. Although born in Michigan, she always considered San Antonio her hometown. She had three brothers, Gary Moore and the late Roy Dwayne and Larry Moore. Mary Kay met her husband, Lou Wong, while he was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas. Later they moved to Purdue University where she worked at the University News Service. They married on May 5, 1973 and later had two children, Amy Nicole and Zachery Edward. Their life as a family was filled with love and laughter, soccer, girl scouts, volleyball and pets of all shapes and sizes. Mary Kay devoted herself to her family and community always volunteering and lending her boundless enthusiasm. She was a dedicated Girl Scouts leader, a tireless travel coordinator for Junior Olympic volleyball, and an enthusiastic organizer of neighborhood block parties. Mary Kay was a dedicated servant to the Lord and partnered with Lou in various ministries at her much loved St Susanna Church. She was a full partner with Lou as he went through the Deacon Formation Program. Her exuberance for life shone through in her love for travel, karaoke and scrapbooking. With her deep love for family and her church it is no wonder that Christmas was her favorite time of year. Mary Kay is survived by her beloved husband and children, Lou, Amy and Zachery Wong, and her brother Gary Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents Doris Johnson and Paul Moore and her brothers Roy Dwayne and Larry Moore. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19 from 5-8 pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. There will also be a visitation at 10:00, followed by Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 20 at 11 am at St. Susanna Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040.
