Gary Ray Wilson, 55, beloved husband of Beatrice 'Bea' Wilson (Bea Whitmer), loving father of Lindsey Wilson, Emily (Keith) Chapman, Zachary and Brady Wilson, dear brother of Bob Curtice and Gilbert 'Chuck' Wilson and is surrounded by a host of other relatives passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife at University of Cincinnati Hospital on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Gary enjoyed hockey, reading, music, spending time with his family, laughing, learning about God, going to concerts, vacationing and eating good food with his family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio where he spent his childhood and early adulthood. He attended Bowling Green State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He played Hockey for BGSU club team and traveled with the Men's Glee Club. He later went on to acquire a Computer Support degree which was instrumental in allowing him to work for several companies in project management including GovConnect and Xerox. He served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ-Cru from 1988 to 1993 at Eastern Michigan and Miami University, Oxford Ohio. Most recently, Gary was employed full-time in Retail Distribuion at Kohls Ecommerce Center in addition to maintaining his job as a Hockey Referee with CIncinnati Amateur Hockey Association-CAHA. Hockey was his lifelong passion. He possessed a desire to live for God, instruct his children in Christian living, diligence in his commitments, warmth and a fun loving spirit. He was a passionate athlete, gifted vocalist and avid reader and passed these qualities on to his children. The love he has shared with his family, friends, colleagues and strangers will continue to live on in everyone who knew him.
