Daniel E. "Dan" Kinane Sr., 87, beloved husband of Mary Kinane, dear brother to Art (Jan) Kinane, father of Daniel and Bill (Kathy) Kinane, father-in-law to Pam Kinane, loving grandfather to Kelly Kinane, Amanda (Sam) Zingale, Casey Kinane and the late Eric Kinane, devoted great-grandfather to Olivia and Emmie Kinane, Jackson and Carson Zingale, and uncle/great-uncle to many nephews and nieces, passed away on November 18, 2014. Born to Sara and David in 1926, Dan grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, with his brother Art, and that's where he met his future wife, Mary Green. Dan and Mary were married on November 27, 1947 - this Thanksgiving would have been their 67th wedding anniversary. Dan and Mary welcomed two sons - Dan Jr. and Bill, before being stationed by the US Navy in Kwajalein (Marshall Islands) post WWII. Upon returning to the states, Dan went on to graduate from Bentley College in Boston and started working for General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts. GE transferred the family to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1956, and the family settled in Greenhills, Ohio. Dan would go on to attend the University of Cincinnati, Chase Law School, and spend more than 30 years with General Electric, before retiring to Pompano Beach, Florida. Dan enjoyed travel, history, literature, fishing, painting, working outdoors (gardening and landscaping), and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
