Robert K. Vogt

March 21, 1938 — May 22, 2010

Robert (Bob) Kearby Vogt went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2010 at the family home after a prolonged battle with cancer. Bob was born in Cincinnati on March 21, 1938. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1962 and completed service in the U.S. Army Reserves. In 1964, Bob married Barbara Smith from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and they shared 45 years of marriage. During his professional career of 46 years with Buschman Conveyor Company (FKI Logistix), he developed numerous products for patent. He retired in 2009 as Product Manager. Bob was a respected Christian leader, serving as an elder and small group leader at Faith Bible Church. For thirteen years, Bob was a much loved Bible teacher at The Lodge Care Center. He was also active in the Gideon Bible ministry and served as the president of the Cincinnati camp. While his family and friends rejoice that Bob is in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they will deeply miss his patient spirit, loving support, quick sense of humor and words of wisdom. He was a consistent source of strength for all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Barbara Vogt; children Kristine Hall (Rob), David Vogt (Natalie), Tim Vogt (Sierra), grandchildren Charlie, Grace, Mikayla, Aidan, Deacon and Veronica; sister Sue Vogt; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Robert K. Vogt, 72, beloved husband of Barbara Vogt (nee Smith), devoted father of Kristine Hall (Rob), David (Natalie) and Tim (Sierra) Vogt, dear brother of Sue Vogt and loving grandfather of Charlie, Grace, Mikayla, Aidan, Deacon and Veronica.
