(Fritz) Turton Fritz Turton passed away following a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. Born on December 4, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mary Margaret (ne Greer) and Charles Frederick Turton he joined sisters Kay and Pat to round out the family of 5. Fritz attended school in Anderson Township and graduated from Anderson High School where he was the center on the football team and graduated with honors. An academic scholarship to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in Paper Technology (Chemistry) followed. Pledging the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity led to friendships that were lifetime in importance. His last vacation at his home at Norris Lake in Tennessee, over Labor Day was spent with these dear friends. After graduation, Fritz worked for IBM and after a few career changes, joined Bunnell Hill in 1984 and was named President of Bunnell Hill Construction in 1995. Retiring in 2011, Fritz served as President of Bunnell Hill Consulting. A dear friend, Mike Dubrul, described Fritz as Mr. Google, the answer man for all questions prior to Google and another, George Hayward, as a man who knew a lot about a lot of things . Because of Fritzs love of bringing friends and family together and taking time to enjoy life, his son-in-law Scott described a feeling of being on vacation whenever they got together. Fritz lived life to its fullest enjoying travel (in last 7 years, primarily to the Caribbean on the Sea Dream yacht), boating and relaxing at his home on Norris Lake in La Follette, Tennessee, riding his motor cycle with friends old and new, reading, running, playing Euchre, and laughing and loving with friends and family. Laura met Fritz in 1984 and after 4 years of dating they married on November 30, 1989. Fritz became an instant dad to Kimberly, Geoffrey and Sarah and enjoyed the happiness, love, and challenges of parenthood. He was blessed to see both of his girls married and further blessed by two grandchildren, Ben and Elli. What joy these children brought to Fritzs life! It is hard to imagine a world and a life without Fritz, Turbo, Dad, Bun, Pop Pop. We will truly miss you Fritz and are comforted by our memories and knowing you are going to be alright now. Thanks to all of you for being a part of my husbands life. I know he cherished each and every one of his family members and friends. Fondly, Laura
