Doyle Young

Doyle Young was born on February 22, 1935 in Stanford, Lincoln County, Kentucky to Maynis and Zella Young. He died at his home in West Chester, Butler County, Ohio on January 10, 2010.

Doyle and his wife Wilma were married on September 2, 1953. They were raised in the Green River Pentecostal Church in Lincoln County, Kentucky. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1956. Doyle was employed for over 40 years with Hilton Davis, formerly Sterling Drugs where he served as a master carpenter. Upon his retirement in 1999, he moved from Anderson Township to West Chester, Ohio. Throughout his life, he and his family remained actively involved in church and church ministry.

As a boy he enjoyed hunting and as an adult he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was very involved with his grandchildren, especially so during his retirement.

He remains very much loved by his friends at work and in church.

Doyle Young, 74, beloved husband of Wilma Faye Young (nee Eversole), dear father of Theresa Kaye Cummins (Bill) and the late Pamela Faye Short (Richard), grandfather of Andrea Cummins, Derek Short and Brandon Short, brother of Kathy Bott (John) and the late Jesse Barnett. Funeral Service will be at 9:30am Wednesday, January 13 at Mueller Parker Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
