John Stuart Koegle, 84, beloved husband of Margaret Christine Koegle (nee Lynn), dear father of Stuart Lynn Koegle (Pamela Wilson) of Virginia Beach, VA, Stephen James Koegle (Ana Betances) of Alexandria, VA, David Martin Koegle of Crofton, MD, Janet Christine Koegle Kellogg of Lyons, IL and Robert Evans Koegle of Lone Tree, CO, grandfather of Justin Koegle, Jon Koegle, Katelyn Elizabeth Kellogg, Kyle Koegle and Maria Alejandra Santos, great grandfather of Alli Harrison and cousin of Doris Provine of Tempe, AZ. Passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Koegle was born in Rochester, PA on January 8, 1926 to the late Stuart Anderson Koegle and Doris Rebecca Koegle (nee Evans). He attended Howe Military School and received at BSc in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1948, a MSc from Kansas State University in 1949 and his PhD from Ohio State University in 1951. He married Margaret in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1950. His work as a Chemical Engineer took him to many locations in the United States. While employed by Jacobs Engineering in Cincinnati, Ohio he consulted with several pharmaceutical companies including Eli Lilly and Abbott Laboratories. He retired from Jacobs Engineering in 1991. He was chair of the Building Committee for St. Anne Episcopal Church while the church building was constructed. Visitation will be at St. Anne Episcopal Church, 6461 Tylersville Road, West Chester, OH 45069 on Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 1:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00PM.
