Opal Young (nee Pike), 84, beloved wife of Willie L. 'Bill' Young Sr., devoted mother of Bill Young, Jr. (Pamela), Linda Baker (Carl) and Valda Fridley (Earl), dear sister of Stella Pelley and June Randolph, both of Mitchellsburg, KY and the late May Tucker, Florence Gullett, Tommie Pike, Denny Pike, Clarence Pike and Albert Pike, loving grandmother of Stacia Young, Carla Dunn (Wayne), Darren Fridley, Kevin Fridley and Stephanie Marker and great-grandmother of Will Patterson. Opal was a long time resident of West Chester and passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009. Opal was born on November 24, 1924 in Casey County, Kentucky to the late Clarence and Mazie Pike. Opal married Bill Young on January 26, 1946 in Stanford, Kentucky. Opal retired in 1981 after 15 years of working for the Leather Specialty Company in Cincinnati. Visitation will be at the MUELLER PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 on Tuesday, April 28 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
