US AIR FORCE VETERAN Carl Curtis Hess, 74, beloved husband of Juanita G. (nee Porter), devoted father of Michelle (John) Kappa and Mark (Shari) Hess, brother of Janet Dixon and the late Jackie Hess, loving grandfather of Chelsea, Lindsey and Courtney Kappa. Passed away August 28, 2012 with his family at his side. Curt met his wife Juanita in West Virginia and they celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in May 2012. Curt served in the Air Force, was a member of the VFW and was a chaplain for the organization for 9 years. He and his wife Juanita ministered at Glen Meadows Nursing Home for over 11 years. Curt enjoyed wood working and made thousands of wooden crosses and handed them out as a ministry. These crosses were passed out to many groups and given to missionary's who took them to other countries. Memorial gathering will be at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Rd (Rt. 747), Liberty Twp., OH 45011 on Tuesday, September 4 from 5:30 PM until time of Service at 7:00 PM.
