Christopher Daniel Miller, 53, was born July 28, 1957 in Wilmington, Ohio to Clayton and Maxine Miller. He died June 13 at West Chester Medical Center in West Chester, Ohio from complications of pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Diane (Cindi) of 25 years and his 3 daughters Carly, Christin, and Casey, brother Tim Miller (Theresa) of Huntsville, AL and sister Pat Croasmun (Bill) of Leawood, KS and several nieces and nephews. Chris grew up on a dairy and crop farm just south of Westboro in Clinton County. He was active in band, FHA, and 4-H while young and graduated from Blanchester High School in 1975. He attended Ohio Northern University where he received a degree in civil engineering in 1979. He spent most of his professional career with The Kroger Company, starting as a preventive maintenance engineer with Market Basket in Los Angeles in 1982. He moved to Dallas with the company where he was a facility engineer. This is also where he met his wife, Cindi. He also worked as Manager of Facility Engineering in both Atlanta and Indianapolis. In 2004 he was appointed Director of Facility Engineering in the General Office of Kroger Company in Cincinnati. Chris' passions were his family, his faith, and fast pitch softball. While in Atlanta and Indianapolis he and Cindi started a Walk Through Bethlehem at both churches they attended. Chris was also involved in planning a permanent home for their current church, Water's Edge United Methodist Church in Mason. All three girls were/are involved in softball, and Chris coached many girls both here and in Carmel, IN. Chris' goal was to help them develop character while they played softball. Visitation is Wednesday, June 15, at Mueller Parker Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040 from 5 - 9 pm. Services will be held June 16 at 10 am at Faith Community United Methodist Church at 8230 Cox Road in West Chester. Interment will be at Westboro I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
