View Video Tribute Here Jean Baird (nee Somerville), 88, beloved wife of the late Worth Kirkwood Baird, 89, dear mother of James Clark Baird (Brenda), Janene Baird Kraegel (Timothy) and Kirk John Baird (Karen), sister of the late Ruth Ellen Gray (Robert), the late Catherine Clark Culver (Melvin), the late Harry William Somerville (Lillian), and Evelyn Mae Griffin (Gerald), grandmother of Jill Christine Thomas, Tricia Jean Baird, Carol Jean Ramsey, Paul Kirkwood (Lynn Dixon), Kenneth Kraegel (Irene), Pamela Jean Avery (Benjamin), Bonnie Deanne Payne (Jeremy), Elizabeth Anne Baird and Ian Joseph Kirkwood Baird, great grandmother of Meghan Emily Ramsey, Timothy Gene Avery, Ellen Jean Avery, Laurel Jean Avery, Amelia Jean Avery, Caleb David Payne, Ethan Baird Payne and Charis Evelyn Payne. Passed away June 27, 2010. Mrs. Baird was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan. She worked for the Campfire Girls in Elmhurst, Illinois for 23 years serving as registrar. For over 50 years she was an active member of the Lombard Bible Church in Lombard, IL with many years of service in the childern's Sunday School. She was a leader in the Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls. She was currently a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Early in married life her hobbies included knitting and sewing. Later she was an active quilter and a member of the Lombard Bible Church's quilting group and other groups in the Lombard area. Memorial service will be held at 1:30PM Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the Chapel at Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Center, 585 N. State Route 741, Lebanon, OH 45036. Contributions may be made to the Otterbein Lebanon Benevolence Fund. Arrangements by Mueller Parker Funeral Home, Mason, Ohio 513-398-9100.
