He also enjoyed very close friends in his Bible Study/discussion group of 30 years and poker group of similar time. He enjoyed playing bridge, Cincinnati Symphony and Pops concerts, taking classes at U.C. and traveling.
In the past he served as President of Llanfair Retirement Community Home Board for 3 yrs, Trustee of Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Community Board Elder, Deacon, Pastoral Search Committees at Wyoming Presbyterian Church, Boy Scouts and his Kiwanis Club.
Words from the family: My father was a man who grew up in the depression and his family lost almost everything including their home. From that start, he grows into as kind and optimistc a person I have ever met. No matter what life brought him he had a positive attitude and his focus was on the needs of others. He had a genuine respect for others and was a devoted and thoughtful friend, grandfather, father, brother and husband.
