US MARINE KOREAN CONFLICT VETERAN Howard Ray Good, age 81, of West Chester, beloved husband of 60 years of Mary Jane Good (nee Butler); loving father of Rae Jane (Russ) Araujo and Eric Howard (Lorie) Good; grandfather of Joel Wyatt (Jeannie) Araujo, Meredith Rae (Doug) Plummer, and Madeline Rose Kleemeier-Redmond; great-grandfather of Savannah Gambill, Lilith Plummer, Logan Redmond, and Addison Redmond; died on Friday, November 1, 2013. Born May 1, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ray served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He worked as corporate director of quality control and quality assurance for several manufacturing companies supplying components to the nuclear power industry. He was a founding board member and served as chair of the Columbus chapter of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, and was also a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Marine Corps League. He taught engineering classes at the Community College of Allegheny County. Ray had previously served on the Board of Directors and as a deacon of Tylersville Road Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Mason, Ohio. He enjoyed reading, home remodeling and woodworking, especially in making beautiful hand-made clocks for family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
