Betty Jane Mowry (nee Johnson), age 92, passed away Thursday, Oct 31, 2013 at Mason Christian Village in Mason , Ohio. She was born 1921 in Jeanette, Pa. to the late Robert and Helen Johnson. She was the beloved wife of Robert K. Mowry for 53 years who still resides at Mason Christian Village. Dear mother of Cindy (Jim ) McVey, Carol (Bob) Turner and John (Denise) Mowry. Devoted grandmother of Melissa, Elizabeth, Amy, David, Rob, Doug, Jessica, Jennifer, and Jacqueline and also devoted great- grandmother of 13 great- grandchildren. Betty is survived by her brother Jimmy Johnson of Mechanicsburg Pa. and many nieces and nephews. Her brother Robert Johnson and her three sisters, Eleanor Harris, Dorothy Jones, and Ruth Trenton are all deceased. She attended The First Lutheran Church in Johnstown, Pa. Betty and her husband Bob retired to Stuart, Fl in 1982 where they lived for more than 30 years. There she was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her husband Bob and family throughout her life. She enjoyed many years of travel and one of her favorite travel memories was seeing the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany. In April of 2013 Betty and her husband Bob, moved to Cincinnati to be near family. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 10:30 am at the chapel of Mason Christian Village Chapel, 411 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio.
