On 20 November, Vivian Vines Church Lockwood of McLean, Virginia and Middletown, OH, lost a hard-fought battle with cancer. After graduating from McLean High School, she was named, "Miss McLean". Vivian attended the University of Virginia School of Engineering. There, she was a member of the sorority Alpha Delta Pi and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1982. Upon graduation, Vivian went to work as a Program Manager for General Electric, first in their NICAD Battery Division in Gainesville, Florida and then at their Jet Engines Plant in Evendale, Ohio. She later worked for LexisNexis, Standard Register, and at the time of her death, she was the Administrative Manager of IKEA of West Chester, Ohio. She was active in her church, loved her dogs, and made many friends along the way. She is survived by her husband, Michael W. Lockwood, her sisters Jill Vines Loftus of Great Falls, Virginia and Lori Anne Vines of Falls Church, Virginia, her nephew, Patrick Jackson Loftus of Washington, D.C., and her step-son Josh Lockwood. She is also survived by her "sister of sorts" Ruth Sara Hart Schneider, of Kenwood, Ohio. Memorial Service at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Saturday, December 28 at 2:00 PM. Visitation with the family will immediately follow service.
