Lee E. Goodeman, 75, dear son of the late Elmer and Hulda Goodeman, survived by his dear friends, Paul and Clara Bernhardt and many nieces and nephews and predeceased by his brothers Luther and Erving Goodeman and sister Ruth Schmidt. Went to be with his Lord November 15, 2010. Visitation at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 3621 Socialville-Foster Rd, Mason, OH 45040 on Friday, November 19 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM. For details or to send a condolence, visit www.muellerparker.com 513-398-9100 Lee Eric Goodeman was born June 6, 1935 at Community Hospital in Freemont, Ohio. He graduated from Concordia High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He attended Concordia College and received at BA in Teaching from Concordia Teachers College in 1958. He received a Masters in Education from the University of Cincinnati in 1968. He further received a M.S.L.S. degree in Library Science from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky in 1971. Mr. Goodeman taught at Concordia Lutheran School in Cincinnati from 1958-1968. He taught at Grace Lutheran School in Cincinnati from 1968-1970. From 1971-1973, Mr. Goodeman worked for the Covington Board of Education in Covington, Kentucky as Elementary Librarian. From 1974-1998 he was the High School Librarian working for the Covington Board of Education. Mr. Goodeman served as President of the Covington Education Association, Chairman of the Lutheran High School Steering Committee, Treasurer of the Kentucky Library Network, Chairman of the Site Based Decision Making Committee and Treasurer of the NKSMA. At Concordia Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Mr. Goodeman was Elder of Christian Education, Sunday School/Bible Class teacher, Financial Secretary, Chairman of the Evangelism Committee and Sunday School Superintendent. In the Lutheran Laymans League, he was District Treasurer, District Secretary and Zone President. In October 1995, he received the KSMA Joint Technoligy Award from the Covington Board of Education for having worked with teachers to develop a project that encourages the use of technology in a classroom setting. He presented a paper on "An Information Retrieval System For a High School or a Small College Library" at the Kentucky Library Association Preconference in October 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Goodeman was best know for his dedication to and life long work with students he both taught and mentored. His ground breaking ideas for technology use in libraries is still being used today in libraries of all levels.
