Samuel Lonzo Bullock, age 84 of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Lebanon, OH, departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, KY to the late Earl and Nellie Purcell Bullock. Mr. Bullock was a United States Army veteran of WWII, a retired machinist for Celotex Corporation in Lockland, OH, and a member and deacon at the Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset. He supported many churches in Ohio before moving to Somerset. Mr. Bullock is survived by two sons, Roger (and Mary Jane) Bullock of Somerset, KY and Paul (and Lisa) Bullock of West Chester, OH; a daughter, Beverly (and Darryl) Davenport of Lebanon, OH; grandchildren, Kristi Bullock, Adam Bullock, Scott Davenport, Seth Bullock, and Kati Bullock; and his great grandchildren, Zoe Bullock and Maya Bullock. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Bullock, whom he married on June 2, 1945; and two brothers, James Monroe Bullock and Everett Pete Bullock. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 4th at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, Somerset, Kentucky and then Wednesday, October 5th from 5:00 " 8:00 pm at the Mueller-Parker Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 11:00 am at Mueller-Parker Funeral Home with Brother Gary Stringer officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, OH. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child, c/o Beacon Hill Baptist Church, 4705 South Highway 27, Somerset, KY 42501 and/or Gideon Memorial Bible Plan, P.O. Box 27, Somerset, KY 42502.
