World War II and Korean War Veteran US Army Harold Whitis, 85, beloved husband of Zora E. Whitis (nee Roberts), devoted father of Harold Lee Whitis (Veda), Renee Johnson (Herb), Anita Carol Whitis and Diana Stoppiello (Mike), dear grandfather of Brandi Chittum (Ty) and great-grandfather of Avery Chittum, brother of Stella and the late Iva, Sophia, Flossie, Opal, Arvil and Warren. Passed away Monday, May 21, 2012. Harold was a proud member of the Mason Masonic Lodge 678 F&AM, Scottish Rite, York Rite and the Shriners. Harold was well known as a great dancer and antique car enthusiast. He worked until retirement for the Iron Workers Local 44. Services Private.
