Martha Ellen Banks, age 58, "Marti" as her friends and family know her, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 after a 14 year battle with breast cancer. Marti was, is and will continue to be a powerful force for good on this earth. The strength of her spirit touched each and everyone she met, and those fortunate enough to know her had their lives deeply and permanently changed for the better. Marti's smile, laughter and wit masked incredible wisdom and intelligence beyond her years. In the midst of her battle she raised another powerful spirit on earth who will carry her life forward her son Alex, and brought peace, love and happiness beyond what one could ever imagine in one's life to her husband of 17 years, Luke. Marti was the only child of Grace and Raymond Flora, of Covington, Ohio, who survive her. Visitation at Mueller Parker Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040 Thursday, May 14, from 11:30am - 2:30pm, followed by a brief service at 3:15pm, at the Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd.
