Frances Lucille Himes, 90, of Nashville, IN, died in Cincinnati Feb. 18, 2013 after battling Alzheimers disease for several years. She was born April 2, 1922 in Knoxville, TN to Archie Jett and Eva Alice (Brown) Wallace. Frances was a 1940 graduate of Central H.S. Fountain City, TN. She was married to Robert W. Himes for 65 years. The highlight of their life was the 45 years they lived in their lovely Brown County residence. During that time Frances entertained hundreds of out of town guests as well as locals. She was known for her sweet hospitality and southern style cooking. She supported the many activities of her husband in the community and those of her children. She was a member of the Nashville Christian Church. A devoted mother to her four children: Roger (Patricia) Himes of Powell, Ohio, Carolyn (Drake) Dingeman of Springfield, Ohio, Warren (Lynn) Himes of Shelbyville, IN and Richard (Julie) Himes of Cincinnati. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The service to celebrate Frances life will be at 5pm Thursday Feb. 21, 2013 at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville, IN. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 3:30pm to 5pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Knoxville, TN on Saturday Feb. 23.
