US AIR FORCE VETERAN James B. Young, 75, beloved husband of Mary (nee Frerker), devoted father of Christine, Jim (Nancy), Jerry (Amy) and Rob (Angie) Young, brother of three siblings, loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Rebecca, Nicholas, Michael, David, Steven, Rachel, Cory, Lindsey Young and Ashley Van Hoose. Resident of Mason passed away April 27, 2009. Jim graduated from University of Missouri as a mechanical engineer. Jim and Mary married on August 29, 1959. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a B-36 flight engineer. He worked at Pratt & Whitney and General Electric helping to develop the CF-56 jet engine and was a member of SNECMA. Jim finished his career with the US Department of Defense after serving in the US Government for over 20 years. Visitation at MUELLER PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason on Wednesday, April 29 from 6:00 PM until time of service at 7:30 PM.
