Ada Gail Sherman

Ada Gail (nee Cook) Sherman , 74 of Fairfield Township, passed away peacefully right after being baptized, with her family by her side on April 4, 2022. Born to Russell A. and Ruth L. (nee Sowers) Cook on February 2, 1948, in Harrison County, Mississippi.

Gail worked for over 10 years for a pharmaceutical company, she worked her way through the ranks and was an office manager. When she was not working, she was cooking and baking. Gail had her talents in the kitchen and passed them down to her family. She enjoyed cooking for friends and family and never turned her back to anyone. She would help regardless of what their need was.

She had a kind, caring and generous heart. Ada showed her love through all animals. She enjoyed her kitties, all the four-legged friends and her granddaughter’s bird, Ziggy.

Gail was always down for a camping or boating trip, spending time in the mountains of Gatlinburg was one of her favorite spots to be.

Preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Ruth Cook, husband, Howard Sherman, grandsons, Christopher Pennington and John Sherrow and sisters Shirley Hendry and Arlene Aurthur.

Ada is survived by her two children, John (fiancé Robin) Sherrow and Denise (Michael) Pennington, one stepdaughter, Sherri Kamps, ten grandchildren, Joe, David, Shelby (Andy), Jamie, Austin, Kara (Cody), Dasha, Chad, Cody and Fallon, six great grandchildren and one on the way and her sister, Kathy (Debbie) Tomlin, and lots of loving nieces, nephews and furry friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ada’s name to the Hospice of Hamilton or the SPCA.
