Agnes Dalton

Agnes Dalton (nee Back), of Middletown, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the age of 87.  She was born February 9, 1936 in Jackson, Kentucky to Arthur and Lizzie Mae (nee Chapman) Back.

Agnes married her life-long love, Mitch Dalton, on July 3, 1954 in Middletown, Ohio.  Born with the ability to care for others, Agnes was a natural at being a mother.  The couple provided a home that was filled with love and laughter for their seven children.  In what seemed like the blink of an eye, the family had grown into five generations.  Agnes enjoyed traveling and shopping, especially if she was being spoiled by her daughters.

Faith was a priority for Agnes.  For many years she and Mitch sang in the choir of their church.  Agnes was also blessed with fantastic craft skills creating heirloom quilts, crochet pieces, and ceramics for family and friends.  Agnes will be forever loved and cherished by all that knew her.

Agnes was preceded in death by: parents, Arthur and Lizzie Mae Back; husband, Mitch Dalton; brothers, David Back and Charlie Back; son-in-law, Roy Schweitzer; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dalton; and a brother-in-law, Carl White.

Agnes is survived by: children, Pam (Charlie) Walters, Arthur Dalton, Joyce (Rob Miller) Lewis, Kathleen Schweitzer, Ross (Chris) Dalton, Charlie Dalton, Barbara (Jeff) Hawthorn; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren with a couple more on the way.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 11:00 am until ltime of Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at Mueller Hicks Funeral Home & Crematory, 6780 Roosevelt Avenue, Middletown, Ohio 45005.  Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.  Family and Friends are invited to Agape Church, 4840 Moreland Drive, Franklin, Ohio 45005 to continue Celebrating the Life of Agnes Dalton with food and fellowship.
