Althea M. Deam

Althea M. Deam (nee Smith), of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully July 27, 2023 at the age of 89.  She was born May 26, 1934 in Amarillo, Texas to Dr. Allen S. and Wilma (nee Davis) Smith. She graduated from Central High School, South Bend, Indiana in 1952 and studied at Purdue University before getting married and raising two children.  Allie loved cats, having had many throughout her life.  She was also an avid movie buff, particularly those of the 1940's and 50's.  She will be forever loved and cherished.

Allie was preceded in death by: parents, Dr. Allen S. and Wilma Smith; and sister Phyllis Eger; and is survived by: daughter, Suzan Kranjc; son, Dr. Gregory (Karen) Deam; and grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Kranjc, Steven (fiancee, Jana) Kranjc; Michael Deam, Caitlin Deam, and Christopher (Kayla) Deam.

Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana at a later date.
