Andrew H. Breiner, of Mason, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the age of 90. He was born March 27, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Joseph and Susanna (nee Gelsinger) Breiner.
Andy married his best-friend, Viola Mae Kirchhof of North College Hill on August 22, 1953. Over the next 66 years the two would build a home full of laughter and love. He was employed as a Professor of Physical Education at The Ohio State University where he also coached gymnastics after being a member of The Ohio State gymnastics team as a student. He received his Masters and Doctorate degree at Ohio State after serving as a First Lieutenant in the US Army at Fort Meade in Baltimore, MD.
Andy was preceded in death by: parents, Joseph and Susanna Breiner; and 5 siblings John, Anthony, Frederick, William and Betty.
Andy is survived by: his wife, Viola Mae Breiner; son, Bruce (Diane) Breiner; daughter, Becky (Brahm) Corstanje; grandchildren, Todd (JoAnn) Breiner, Kyle (Mallory) Breiner, Kalyn Corstanje and Kase Corstanje; great-grandchildren, Abigail Jo Breiner, Anderson Breiner, Alton Breiner and Sophia Breiner; twin sister Irma Kraushar; an brother, Joe (Sue) Breiner; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the nature of current events, burial services will be held privately. The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
