Anthony Thomas Demarco Jr

Anthony “Tony” DeMarco Jr. passed away on September 27, 2021 at home with his wife and son by his side. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Gail, son, Anthony, and
sister, JoAnn.

A job promotion prompted Tony, with his wife and son, to relocate to Cincinnati in the early 1980’s - but his heart remained in Pittsburgh. He loved all things Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers.

He was a wonderful cook, and loved to have family and friends to dinner often. This “necessitated” his daily trips to Kroger and Costco, his favorite hangouts - unless that day’s selection of free samples were not to his liking. Entertaining in his backyard was a dream, but the best way to ensure a rainy day was for Tony to plan any outdoor event. Playing cards at home with friends was a treasured pastime, especially weekly games with his poker group.

Tony’s travels took him all over the globe. He particularly loved cruising and visiting the National Parks. He set foot in all fifty states and too many countries to mention. Still, his frequent trips to Pittsburgh brought a special joy because they allowed him to be with his family. Tony was passionate about celebrating holidays, family functions and special occasions in his hometown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Community of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E Kemper Rd Thursday, September 30th at 10am followed by The Rite of Committal at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd. Attendees are asked to wear a mask or face covering.

Following inurnment, A Celebration of Life will be held at the Heritage at Miami Bluffs Clubhouse, 1477 Heritage Dr in Maineville. Guests are encouraged to bring stories of Tony to share with the gathering.
