Anthony Michael Gonzales, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on April 22, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on January 12, 1966, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he lived a life that was marked by hard work, warmth, and an unwavering spirit.
For many years, Anthony dedicated his efforts to the construction field, proudly associated with the Laborer's Local 265. His commitment to his career was a testament to his strong work ethic; he was known not only for his intelligence and dependability but also for his ability to bring humor and laughter to those around him. His great outlook on life allowed him to be a pillar of support to many, always showing up for friends and family with a huge heart and an outgoing personality.
However, nothing tugged at Anthony’s heartstrings like his beloved grandbabies. They were the light of his life—Kalyn, Trinity, AJ, Brooklyn, Lily, and Oliver—who brought him immense joy and pride. The love he held for them was boundless, reflecting the deep connection he cultivated with each of them.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (nee Sweet) Gonzales, who stood by his side as a true partner in life. He is also survived by his children—Christy (Kelsi) Clancy, Anthony Gonzales, and Jeremy (Kyla) Gonzales—each of whom carry forward his legacy of love and strength. He leaves behind his siblings: Eppie (Roger) Gonzales, Phil Gonzales, Ronnie (Loretta) Gonzales, Susan (Alfred) Sena, Ruben Gonzales, and Ramona (Kenneth) Sena, who will fondly remember his infectious spirit and support.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elizardo Gonzales, his mother, Isidora (nee Garcia) Gonzales, and his cherished grandchild, Kayden. Their memories will forever remain close to the hearts of all who knew and loved Anthony.
Anthony was not just a fan of football; he was a passionate Buffalo Bills supporter, often sharing the excitement of the game, reminding everyone that life is about enjoying the little moments. His laughter, dedication, and love for life will be dearly missed.
