Arthur Joseph Arand

October 23, 1929 — September 4, 2022

Arthur Joseph Arand, 92 of Liberty Township, passed away with his family by his side on September 4, 2022. Born to Percival and Anna (nee Kraubacher) Arand on October 23, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Arthur was veteran with the United States Air Force, a dedicated parishioner at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish since 2002 and active with the St. Max Young at Heart Club.   He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus with over 70 years of membership and a past Grand Knight.

He was generous, loving and kind. His heart was huge, yet he was humble and selfless. Arthur enjoyed meeting knew people and chatting for hours. He liked to indulge in a homecooked meal and spend time with his family.

Arthur was proud of his rose bushes and his garden full of wonderful tomatoes. Spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren is what made him happy.

Preceded in death by his parents, Percival and Anna Arand, and siblings, Edward Arand, Marie Kromer, Robert Arand, Clarence Arand and Louis Arand.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dolores (nee Albietz) Arand, two children, Arthur G (JoAnn) Arand and Mary Ann (Peter) Weingartner, six grandchildren, A.J. (Maria) Arand, Christina Arand, Courtney Arand, Elizabeth (Cass) Shepherd, Andrew (Celia) Weingartner and Elaina Weingartner, two great grandchildren, Sebastian, and Milo Arand and three more on the way, two siblings, Richard Arand and Ann Breitfelder and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8 th from 10:00-11:00AM with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am all at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd, Liberty Township, OH 45011 . Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Arthur’s name to the Vasculitis Foundation.
