Barbara Leitzel

Barbara Anne (nee Bartlett) Leitzel, 77 of Monroe and formerly of Ocala Florida, passed away on October 11, 2022. Born to Robert F. and Helen (nee Mitchell) Bartlett on January 1, 1945, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Barbara was a fun-loving person who enjoyed meeting new people. She loved to host and entertain her family and friends and she was very good at it. An avid cook with a knack for shopping, she enjoyed the Christmas season.

Barbara was an active member of the Red Hat Society for 15 years, took several trips with her sister, cruising to Europe and the Carribean. She was a dog lover and enjoyed butterflies. Barbara saw the beauty in something so small.

Preceded by her parents Robert and Helen Bartlett, her stepmother, Ellen McCarthy Bartlett and brother-in-law, Robert “Bob’ Maxwell.

Barbara was survived by her beloved son, Lance (Adelaide) Leitzel, three grandchildren, Loring, Mitchell and Grace Leitzel, sister, Helen Maxwell and her niece and nephew, Bob Maxwell and Cheryl McCann.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 20 at 4 pm in the Pise Chapel at Christ Church Glendale's address,965 Forest Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45246. . Inurnment to take place in Silverbrook Cemetery, Delaware.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Shand’s Children’s Hospital.
