Barbara Lee Schatzel

Barbara Lee (nee Yates) Schatzel , 82 of North Port, Florida and formerly of Loveland, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, in Port Charlotte, Florida. Born to Albert and Genevieve (nee Black) on December 26, 1937, in Latrobe, PA. Barbara was a bookkeeper for many years for the Zimmerman & Adler Construction Company. The very same construction company that originally paved Kings Island.

Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Genevieve Yates, brother Russell "Russ" Yates, and her husband in 2005, John G. Schatzel.

Barbara is survived by her son, Steven (Amanda) Yates of North Port, Florida, grandson, Logan Yates of Nottingham, MD, and brother Charles Yates. Step-children John "Jack" (Lannie) Schatzel, Carol Schatzel, Nancy Riffe, Michael "Mike" Schatzel, Richard "Dick" (Cindy) Schatzel, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 17 grandchildren, and countless great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd, at 12:00 p.m  in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio.
