Barbara “Barb” H. Skelton, 73, of Mason OH passed away on 10 October 2021.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents Arnold and Eleonore Köcher, Grandparents Otto & Maria Mack, August & Paula Köcher, her husbands Kenneth Short and Dale Skelton, Brother-in-law Wolfgang Kroemer, friends Doris Fee & Pete Packenius.

She is survived by her three children: Caroline (Short) Louderback (Tony), Harold Short (Sherry) and Carmen Short (Annemarie); Grandchildren: Anthony Louderback (Carrie), Justin Louderback (Susan), Eric Louderback (Allison), Cassy Ramey (Matt), Emma Bohan; Great Grandchildren: Tobias Louderback, Valerie Louderback, Audriauna Louderback, Noelle Louderback, Gabriella Ramey, Marcus Ramey, Layla Ramey. She also leaves behind her family in Germany; Aunt Inge, Her Sisters: Christa (Köcher) (Kroemer) Lemieux, and Gisela (Köcher) Falk, Nieces: Antje Kroemer (Michael) Tiefenbach, Sabrina Himmelsbach (Jens), Larissa Kirchner (Andreas), and many Great Nieces and a Great Nephew; Family friends Arnold Fee and Irma Packenius.

Barb’s education was in Mechanical Drafting in Germany, she came to the United States with her husband Kenneth Short who she met while stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War era. Barbara became a naturalized citizen in 1996 she loved and was thankful for America. Barb loved to cook, gardening, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22nd from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. FAMILY REQUEST THAT MASKS BE WORN DURING THE VISITATION AND SERVICE.
